Mapping environmental conflicts – Daniela Del Bene (ICTA-UAB)
Tuesday 7th July, 12.00-13.30, UAB Campus
In this session we will present the overall process of mapping environmental conflicts at EJatlas at the EJOLT project. We’ll define such conflicts from a perspective of the social metabolism and environmental justice and will briefly go through some of the most representative cases we have researched about. Around five Featured Maps will be presented along with the fruitful collaborations behind them. Each participant will then be requested to suggest a case of his/her knowledge to add to the map and provide some basic data. He/she will finally be invited to explore the Filter function of the 1500+ cases database and try to answer some questions on environmental conflicts and resistances based on the results the filter will provide.
